So how many of you telecommute? That was supposed to be an option for me a couple of days a week at my current job, but it hasn't actually happened very often. My bosses wife seems to be a big fan of warm bodies in the office, and it's confusing to the clients to call the office phone and be told that I'm not there.

Honestly, I think I like being in an office full of people anyway. Being home alone gets old pretty quick. Plus being "at work" and "at home" seems to keep work and home separate, which wasn't the case for me when I had my own business.

It has worked out nice for me a couple of times, like when I had to be home for the furniture delivery guys, but day to day I haven't managed to get it to work out too well for me.

First let me congratulate you on this great post that has won you $5.00 in our content drive contest!

Now for the post; I work both in the office and from home. Its nice to be in the office every once in a while but I have to say I kinda like working from home. My problem with the office is there are a lot of distractions. I know the same can be said about working from home but I found I can concentrate better in my home office.

Thats just me. Smile

Yeah, to fight the boredom of being home alone, I may get myself in trouble. When I was much younger, and had a home-based graphics and web design business, I got hooked on Warcraft II. I got all of my work done, but never sold any new work, and ended up having to go find a job Very Happy.
there are so many environmental benefits from working from home but personally and socially I don't think it is a good idea at all, I never work from home.
I agree. The only thing about working at home like was said before sometimes you just need a quit place to get something done. Where I work my bosses kids come up to the office a lot them start fighting. So at the point no one is really gettinga any good work done. Which is their fault. But I don't want it to effect my work too.
