I'm a big fan of frameworks. I started with drupal, but am now using symfony because I like coding in OO.
My boss thinks frameworks are too restrictive, and prefers homebrewed code.
I just don't see the point in having to re invent the wheel, and I really like knowing that I'm not the only one finding and fixing bugs. Of course there are a few drawbacks to frameworks. I am not a big fan of having to rework a sites because of changed APIs. But then again, that can usually be alleviated by choosing a mature framework.
What do you guys think?
