Do use a content management system for your sites? I'm using a custom coded system atm which integrates with my forum member database and suits my needs. I've read about the different free CMS out there but haven't tried any other than basic portal software. What's the best feature wise?

Mambo is one that I offer at my hosting service. Easy to use and setup. They have some pretty nice templates and I can integrated within CPanel. I haven't used one that has 3rd party integration. Sorry. Sad

Nope, I use php / mysql for my databases created by myself or my partner.
I have used Etomite for some projects. I am a designer mostly and I love creating my graphical intense layouts in Photoshop. Etomite gives me the chance to fully mod my layouts, so that i cannot tell I have a CMS
My website developer has used WordPress to built my site and I really like it Smile
I have set up my moms site using CMS. I use Joomla on her site. Otherwise I prefer not to use CMS's because the code is dirty and it isn't a "real" website imho.
I built one for the company I work for and we use it for all our clients websites. And no it is not one fo these portal layout engines either....that is what I hate the most about other CMS's.

I am watching and waiting for Mooflex to be released. It is a CMs built on Smarty....looks amazing.
