Full Version: xhtml comliance, how important is it?

I have to admit this is something I have put zero time into. If I can get my pages to look ok then I leave it. There's not enough hours in the day to be concering myself with things like this. Am I making a big mistake here or does it not really matter?

I don't think about xhtml at all. If your site is going to have the same design and content for the next five years then you might want to think about it.

The problem comes when you are administering many sites, and suddenly find yourself needing to update them all at the same time.

I'd recommend being ahead of the curve and start using XHTML today. It really doesn't take all that much. There is a good tutorial on it at http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/default.asp
