When you are creating content are you constantly thinking about wheather what your writing is Search Engine Optimized?

Not constantly but from time to time I tried to made them in this way ...

I usually write what I want to write so that it has all the proper info and makes sense and then go through it afterwards and make adjustments and fit in key words.

I've always been told that you should write for your visitors and not search engines. With that in mind I really don't try to optimize pages that much. I just make sure it has a few of the keywords I'm targeting and that's about it.

You should simply make some words you want to optimize bold, and you are ok. As phiber said, if you make really good contect optimization, maybe spiders will like it, but visitors won't.
