Hello,
I'm a 20 year old college student and I've been seriously contemplating dropping out of college. Currently, I'm a computer science major but my true desire is to design console/PC games. The primary purpose of obtaining a computer science degree is to raise money for myself to open my own game development business, since the boring job of being a computer programmer pays an awful lot. By computer programmer I mean non-game programming. I do not desire the job of coding games (just designing them; which is a significant difference)

Recently I have a sudden interests in freelance work and have tons of questions regarding the lifestyle of a freelance multimedia talent. I currently own an online multimedia design studio (who's website is currently in development) and I serve as the C.E.O. and one of the primary recruiters.

My concern is this, if I'm making a great deal of money from my online design studio, do you think it's a great idea to drop out of school since the only reason I'm in school in the first place is to help my true career as a game designer?

After some replies I'll propose more questions. But this is it for now.
I would def. saty in school....so you always have something to come back too Wink

But besides, I think all of us are enjoying the freedom of being a freelancer Laughing
