If you are looking for a good simple desktop client for MySQL you should checkout MySQL Query Browser. Its a great simple tool to execute SQL from your desktop. I've been using it for a while and its a lot better than logging into your web host control panel and using PHPMyAdmin. Plus you can load large SQL scripts and it doesn't timeout on you.
