Hi,
What are the best freelancing sites in your advice? I have used many, but the best ones that are working for me are getafreelancer and ifreelance. Both are professional sites that will help you in effectively find a job online, and they offer an escrow service as well. Their interface is user-friendly and that's an advantage for both the worker and the job supplier. Just my 2 cents Smile

I've used them for a few years now. I think their fee's are reasonable and they have a lot of projects posted. They also have a lot of people that don't like to pay for quality service so you do have to find the "good" projects.

I just started doing freelance since I just quit my job. So I am pretty new to all of this. However I have had some good luck on the SitePoint forums. Might be something worth checking out.
Are you looking for scripts or Web design? you could use a service that allows people to bid for the lowest price.

Just remember... You get what you pay for.

Johnny

agreed with that statement. But if you want a quick and easy job done and you don't really care about the price then bidding freelance sites are the best.
The best freelancing websites I've found to date are as follows:

Rent a Coder
Get a Freelancer
Get a Coder

Hi Dan hello2

Welcome to the forum!

Get a Coder looks like an interesting site. What are their fee's and have you had any problems with them?

Thanks for the feedback!

Johnny

They charge 10% commission +$5.

I think Rent a Coder is the best though, and their fees are lower at about 7.5% commission.

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, I have looked into Rent a Coder but I wasn't sure. Good to hear you like them.

Why type of coder are you? Java, PHP, all around Smile

I look forward to your response!

Johnny

I code; XHTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript.

Very cool. I need to get into XHTML. Was it hard to learn?

Johnny

It's very easy, if you code clean html you'll have no trouble picking up xhtml.

The main differences are than you have to close all tags which in turn makes all code cleaner and render better in all browsers.
There are many freelance sites out there and everyone can select one that fits his needs.
But for the start, the "free" ones (without subscription) are the best place to start.
For example (most are already mentioned) Scriptlance, GetAFreelancer, RentACoder, GetACoder, PHP-Freelancers and so on.

Sites like E-lance or Guru (with monthly, quarterly or yearly subscription) are recommended for more experienced freelancers.
There is a site with no bidding? when projects are only published and the best portfolio gets it?
