I like laptops more, they are really small and they have nearly the same features as desktop computers.

These days laptops are usually better. They are portable, usually come with the ability to use wireless internet, which is becoming easier and easier to steal. And these days they are usually as good as or better then the standard PC.

I think that desktops are better, they are more powerful, don't need to be recharged and are not as likely to be stolen or lost (such as accidentally leaving it on a train)

I think that high end laptops are better. All the functionality of a desktop, and just the size of a briefcase.

The way I look at it, at least when you save up for another one at least you know to take better care of something. Sometimes it takes something like an laptop which can be expensive to be stolen or lost so that way you learn to realize that you need to take better care of it. Not just you, but for me too.
I have a computer here in my room, but I'm saving up for a laptop, so I won't vote until the end of the year or early 2008.

I love my laptop to bits, but I really want a Gaming Dell PC or an A.L.I.E.N. PC.
Maybe next year

I got a nice gaming pc, but i really want a laptop just for portability. But i would not sacrifice my desktop for a laptop

A laptop is a computer. The poll should read Laptop, Desktop, They Are The Same To Me. Lol, in theory these two are the same.

Now that I have a laptop, I'm very happy with it. Since I'm at home and don't yet have a wireless network, I'm connected thru a wired router to my DSL modem, but last week, at my Mom's I was going wireless and my speed was fastter than 2 meg. I can't wait for my own wireless network so I can use it at home.

If money is not a factor, I'd choose a high-end laptop.

Well laptops seem nice, portable and all, but more easily broken I think, I had a laptop but I broke the screen, maybe I was too rough on it, on the other hand though I've had my PC for years and not a scratch on 'er! I like PC's better, Nice big screen, better for playing games, watching movies, all that.
