Do you think that its quality or quantity
of member posts that count on a forum?

its all well and good having 100s of posts but
there has to be some posts of interest or debate
dont you think? Very Happy
I have to go with quality.

Johnny
i agree..its the same with members you can have 100+
members but if they dont post whats the point?... isnt it
better to have less that post regularly?
Yeah if you have a forum full of pointless spammy posts it's not gonna atract many new people. You need some good discussion and information in your topics to succeed, atract new members and keep them coming back.
yep exactly ...doesnt mean you cant have a
laugh and some fun posts which is normally
what the general area is for but people also
want some serious or tech kinda stuff too
It amazes me at the amount of people that join forums and don't post anything. Does anyone have any idea why people do that?
If it's a general forum, I've no idea but on a tech forum were people are looking for info, some make you register to be able to use the search function.
Quality, quantity of posts doesn't matter if you're not receving new members

Yep, I have to agree here. I've been to a few forums that also make you register to view the topic.

i have a thread about this at my forum i dislike closed boards and never join them i like to see what im signing up for...i know lurkers sometimes
come and tak your ideas and that can be frustrating at times but in that case you should just leave a few forums open for guests to view

Agreed, I never sign up to forums where you can't read the topics.
yep exactly

i dont like people being secretive Laughing

if you have exclusive stuff like graphics/mods/skins
etc then people should be made to register to access
them but not just to see general chat etc as most forums
have the same types of threads in those sections not
exactly top secret info Laughing

We're doing good I think. Activity is up, right?

I think quality posts are more important, if you have 100s of members that don't post, then there is no point in being here. Even if there is
100s of members that do post, what if they are posting pointless
posts which too is no point in being here.
you need active members who post good and varying topics
and its also nice to be able to chill and have a laugh at forum
also .........i think so anyway Very Happy
