So, what do you all think of Ajax?
I think it's really useful, and the coding is pretty nice as well.

I've seen some interesting uses for it, especially on board software Smile.

I love it! Being able to give a web page the feel of a desktop application is nice! I think this technology is going to become the default standard for websites in the near future.

I do too!

I love the functionality of it.

I've recently seen forum software using AJAX software,
like K4BB...

Looks interesting ^_~...
But what about the security issues...

AJAX relies on javascript, a suprisingly high ammount of intrenet users block javascript running in their browsers (something like 30% of all internet users)

But yeah, i love it, i'm currently working on a personal project which involves simulating command line, and ajax does it perfectly.
It's strange that so many people block javascript. Today nearly all sites have big parts made with javascript. With javascript blocked I don't think that they could actually see something in these sites.
30%?
I don't know, a LOT of sites us JS though...

I have to agree. Its been my experience the only people that block JavaScript are really techie people that are security freaks.
