I started to put away 5% of every project I complete. I figure its a good start and will come in handy sometime

How much do you save from every project you complete?
I dont put away anything... I know that is bad of me. I am going to start on my next project.

I understand. A lot of people Freelance for extra money to spend and I totally know its hard to put some of that money away.
I actually try and put 20% away in case there are any taxes owed at the end of the year. I haven't begun to make quarterly payments yet, but I run all my income through an LLC so I know there will be some tax liability on what I earn.

Yep, I assume taxes on every project and put away for them. My problem was I was not saving anything for me.
