Full Version: Referral - a double-edged sword

One good way of building your freelancing business and goodwill is referral (you can either be the referor or referee).

I think being a referor is a very heavy responsibility. If your refer someone for a job and he does a bad job, you lose credibility. If your client is a bad client, you also have a problem.
Something else to add is be careful when recommending people to friends or family. If there are problems you always end up being caught in the middle.
