Hi I was just looking around for info on Scriptlance. I had a bad experience there. I bid on a few projects and won three, got paid for one and my account went into negative balance because Scriptlance deducted their fee for the three projects from one single payment I recieved. When I enquired about this unfairness from them they suspended mya account for posting contact information there. I posted contact information on a 'featured', which is allowed and the webmaster asked for my information. One payment later my account went into positive balance and I wanted to withdraw the money. Iw wrote to the helpdesk and one "Sanjay" responded asking where i wanted my money sent. I told him my PAypal ID and within mnutes he responded asking me to upload a photo ID, and a voice file for varificatin purposes before they could make my payment. Have any of you has such peoblems with Scriptlance or am I a loner?? You can read the attachment with this post.
Hi dexterfigg and welcome to our community! In the past I have not heard of any problems with ScriptLance. Have you reviewed their TOS to make sure there is no misunderstanding?
The terms of service say that I cannot post contact information on the site, except on featured projects, One webmaster asked me to post my email address at it was allowed. Sanjay keeps referring to that point. The only dispute I had with them at that point was that that they should deduct their fee as and when I get a payment. Not wait for ONE payment and deduct their fee for all the projects I have won. Two webmasters took off with my work and never paid me. Scriptlance still deducted theri fee from my existing payment.

I see your point. After a quick review of Scriptlance terms it seems they will refund the project commission they changed if you are not happy with a project. You might want to go that route. I'm not sure if they are going to be willing to work with you since your account was suspended. On that note, I always thought that it was only the person that created the featured project that could post their contact info. Not people bidding on the project. dontknow

I have been in this freelance business for some time. What ever you do, what ever you cried for..They aren't going to listen...it happens most of the time..
They don't care for your money or time...Do what ever you can..
that's why getafreelancer.com is the best site yet..
In Jan This year I signed up with Getafreelancer using my credit card. I signed up for the 7 day trial for $2.95. When I got my confirmation I was informed that they had deducted the full months subscription from the card and if I cancelled before the seven days were up they would refund the remaining cash. This seemed unfair, and I told them that. after 5 days I canceled as I did not seem to be getting anywhere with them, the business I was getting through my past clients was continuing. When I canelled, they took over three months and scores of mails to refund the cash to my credit card.

I also do not like the idea of having an automatic subscription system. I should be given an option to upgrade. So getafreelancer is also out of my list of "good biding sites". I think setting up a web site, and using my SEO skills to get business is the best way to market my services.

yess, we are on the same page.. the escrows and refunds at getafreelancer is not much appreciated. i too had a bad experience lost my $500 .... they didnt handled my dispute so urgently as it needed and my buyer took his money off .... a really complicated situation raised.... i gotfed up and set up my own web... Cool

Scriptlance has suspended my account and is not paying me the cash I have in my account. They are asking me to upoad some government photo identification as well as a "voice file" to identify my self. I have all these mails. I am getting adverse feedback from people whose projects I have bid on and am getting offers (private messages) however I cannot get in contact with them OR send them a message to informa them of WHY I cannot contact them. I cannot log on to Scriptlance to cancel my account either and Scriptlance is obviously not informing them of why I am not replying to their messages even after biding and wining projects.
