Well that being said Vista was supposed to launch in 2003. I really don't think Microsoft Vienna will be released in 2009. Expect at least a few years of delay.

I agree with you. I just read some headlines concering about the update on that story that Microsoft does not want to talk about Vienna yet.

Ya I have serious doubts that they would release a new OS in 2009 since that's only 2 years away and they need some time for Vista to penetrate the market. It wouldn't make any sense for them.

Perhaps it will be a server edition ?
Like Win2003?
Like Win2003?

Possibly, but it seems like the rumours indicate a completley new OS. We'll see though, I haven't been following the beta happenings through my MSDN subscription, I assume I can always take a look at what they have. I'm not usually interested in touching beta stuff...

Windows 7 is supposed to replace the problematic Vista in 2010, this is what I was told. Anyway the operative word here is "supposed".
Good riddance, Vista.

Yeah, like Windows Vista was "supposed" to replace XP.![]()
Hopefully they do it right this time.

Hopefully my XP can wait till 2010 for Windows 7. I really feel powerless in front of Microsoft. It is really pathetic, where is consumer choice and power?

I hope something gets corrected with Vista, as I have been holding out still using XP trying to avoid the change.
