Hello all. I just joined the group and am looking forward to chatting with you guys. Hopefully I can get some helpful hints about cracking into the big scary world of freelance.
My experience is movie reviews for an alt weekly. I'd like to pick it up again and am willing to stretch my base to music, food and drink, or other aspects of entertainment.

Welcome, welcome! I would have to agree that freelancing isn't that scary. I think the first contract you are a little nervous about cause you don't want to screw up, but once you get that out of the way, things are enjoyable. Sounds like you enjoy what you do (a must for freelancing) so don't worry! Plus you'll get lots of good advice here!
