All I can say is WOW. I had NO idea there were this many out there. Most of my clients only care about the big 4 Yahoo!, Google, Ask, MSN. I'm not sure what to do with this info though, do you subit your sites to all of them? Pay for one of those third party tools to do it for you?
Google, Yahoo!, and MSN stomp the rest of the competitors down.
Thanks for the link. I'm creating a videogame forum and those sites may come in handy when I'm about to submit my site to search engines.
By the way, how long should I wait before I submit my forum to search engines? I want to know because they may reject the site if the site is not fully developed.

Don't ever pay. Most of the search engines have a add url page that can found somewhere on the site, usually in the help section. I know its a lot to do by hand but its worth the time.

Search engines don't reject sites for not being complete developed. The crawler might have a problem finding all the pages because of bad HTML, etc... You can submit your forum once you have it online. Make sure you check your forum software to assure it can be crawled. PHPBB requires that you make a change to the software to allow it to be crawled correctly.

Yup they make up over 80% of all searches

I see what you guys are saying but don't put all your eggs in one basket. I've seen people put all their time and money into optimizing for Google and Yahoo. Then their site was dropped from the rankings. Since they didn't optimize for other sites and have strong back links their traffic dropped off the map...
As some people have already mentioned... I didn't know there was so many search engines out there.
