If you're a webmaster, how do you choose your color scheme for your site? Do you use an easy for the eyes color scheme or something based on the topic of your website?

I get my designers to do all my designs and leave it up to them. As for a contemporary or off the wall design it depends on our clients.

I use a design that is easy on the eyes, very basic, no distractions, just a plain old template. I use this because there are visitors of all ages, I don't think that 50 year old man would enjoy a template that is Black with red text as he would a plain template. Then a 12 year old could come on the forum and be fine with the style as well. Basically I chose mine with the goal to please everyone even though it doesn't go with the theme particularly.
